Coins and Rare Metals
How each currency is earned and what things cost.
Two currencies
Coins buy most parts. Rare Metals buy the rest: the largest gun, guided weapons, most aircraft and a few others. A ship that uses both kinds of part costs both.
Earning them
| Source | Coins | Rare Metals |
|---|---|---|
| Winning a mission | Every win | On the first clear of the larger missions |
| Winning a public match | 800 a win | None |
| Gaining a level | Every level | Every level, more at milestones |
| Shop, Currency tab | Sold in packs | Sold in packs |
Losing a battle pays no Coins. Private rooms and tests pay nothing at all. The amounts are in Missions and Levels and ranks, and the daily limits are in Battle modes.
Spending them
- Parts. Each part has one price, in the shipyard and in the Shop's Equipment tab alike. Nothing is free: a hull or deck block costs 2 Coins whatever its size, and the cheapest parts cost 1 Coin.
- Ships. A Shop ship costs exactly the sum of its parts. You pay the full price even if you already own some of the same parts, and you receive every part.
- Repairs. Free. A ship is whole again at the start of every battle.
Parts stay with the ship they were bought for. Compare before you buy: Weapons, Aircraft, Engines and Ships all sort by price.
