Getting started
What you do in BattleSea, what a new captain owns, and how to win a first battle.
What you do
You build a warship from parts, take it into battle, and spend what you win on more parts and ships. A ship is only as good as its design: where the weight sits decides whether it floats upright, and what it carries decides how it fights.
- Shipyard. Edit your ship block by block. See Shipyard.
- Battle. Choose Missions to fight the computer or Multiplayer to fight other captains. See Battle modes.
- Shop. Buy complete ships or single parts with what you earned. See Coins and Rare Metals.
What you start with
A new captain has one starter ship, a few spare parts and 2,000 Coins. That is enough for parts, not for a warship from the Shop: the first missions are how you earn one.
The game is played online. As a guest you earn and spend like anyone else, but your ships, Coins and level are lost when the page is reloaded or closed. Creating an account from a guest session keeps them. Signing into an account you already have opens that account instead, and the guest session is discarded.
Your first battle
- On the home screen choose Battle, then Missions.
- Start the first shooting exercise. Its target does not move or shoot back.
- Click the target's hull to aim, then hold Space to fire your guns.
- Steer with A and D; set the throttle with W and S.
Each mission you win pays Coins every time and opens the next one. The full list, with what each pays, is in Missions.
What to read next
